Playboy

Hi everyone havent written to you guys lately. Ive been so busy traveling and performing. I cant believe how many cool places ive been and continue to go to. I am very lucky!

Hi everyone well what a crazy time i’ve been having lately. Just in the last 3 weeks i went the Superbowl, The Grammy’s then Disney for the opening if the American Idol Experience.

It was so awesome to meet and hang with all the past idols. I really made some new friends. I gotta say Jordin Sparks is one hell of a dancer haha as is Brooke White. We all got along so well and it will probably never happen again. Simon Fuller and all the folks at 19, Fox and Fremantle are just the best.

I also wanted to let everyone know that the newest edition of Playboy features an interview with me for Rock the Rabbit. Other bands include MGMT and the Kooks. I also designed a TShirt for it which will be sold in Bloomingdales across the country. Part proceeds will be going to charity of which will be ALS again.

My new single will be coming out very soon. We are just waiting to hear what the date will be. I hope all you guys will dig it. It’s a very soulful song called Heart on my sleeve.

Up next, well so let’s talk about this little duet “Life is Okay”… okay, so a while back, around the end of the tour actually Michael Johns was talking about this soundtrack he was working on for this Shaun White Documentary. And one day he picked up a guitar to show me this song he wrote that he thought would make a good lil’ duet that kinda fit my style and asked me if I was interested… I thought it was really catchy , and really nice of him to ask me, so of course I said, sure!  A little while after the tour, he called me up to remind me about it, I hardly knew the song, but we went into the studio, I learned it and with in a few hours we put down the vocals. Shorty after I got to hear the master, I showed it to my family and they loved it, but it wasn’t ready to be released yet.  Quite honestly I wasn’t exactly sure when it was going to come out, or to what capacity it would be used. So with the craziness of everything over the last few months, it had kinda slipped from my memory. Then last week I was surprised  when I recieved several comments and messages about how much everyone was loving “life is okay”… then I found out that it was released on MichaelJohnsOnline.com. I was SO excited to hear such a positive response from everyone. I know you all have been patiently awaiting new stuff, and I have been unpatiently waiting to show you new stuff… so in the meantime, it is super cool to have this original duet with my talented Austrailian buddy, Michael Johns for you all to feast your ears upon. Supposedly there have been a few people in the southern states who have heard the song on the radio… woohoo! This is excited, so if you love the song, request it and let your local stations know your into it! You never know… Also, I believe as of yesterday, you can now download the whole soundtrack on itunes!! So  if and when you actually get done readin’ this ridiculously long blog,
go get it!

Hi everyone Happy Inaugauration Day. How great is it to be alive for this historic event. Not being from America as you all know, it just proves to me again why America is so amazing. The ability to grow, to change to prove to everyone there is hope in the world.

I am also very excited today as the Documentary soundtrack i co wrote with Jeff Foxworth and Rye Randa, “Don’t Look Down” came out today on Amazon and ITunes. Please stop buy and give it a listen.

My own album is still on track to come out in March which i’m so excited for everyone to hear. We really did make something special and unlike anything out there right now. Staying true as to why so many of you became fans to begin with. I have met and listened to so many people over the last 9 months who are just desperate for something different than what they hear on radio right now. Hopefully, hopefully we did just this.

Thank you so much again for all the support you give me and 2009 is gonna be fun!

Hi everyone as you may or may not know today is the release of my song Another Christmas.

All proceeds are going to MDA’s ALS division and The Red Cross. I believe very strongly in these charities. ALS is a horrible disease that robs you of everything. You lose the ability to walk, talk and move. However you keep all brain function. It’s like being in your own prison.

The Red Cross is such an important organiztion and i am dedicating this song to all the Troops serving abroad this Holiday. Another Christmas is really about being away from loved ones and telling them you miss them and love them.

I never intended to release a song i had written for my family, however it’s for such a great cause. I know you will all help me in raising as much money and awareness as you can. Download Another Chritmas at Itunes or Amazon

Philippines

All i can say is WOW!

If you would have told me a year ago i would be in the Philippines playing shows and looking at billboards of myself, i would’ve thought you were crazy. I am truly having a blast here in Manila. The people have been so warm and friendly. They love American Idol and MUSIC. Man is this country a music mad place. They have many talented singers here too. I got to sing on TV here a show called ASAP. Three girls sang with me. Sarah, Rachel and Jeng. Very good singers i was impressed.
I played my first show last night to about 2000+ It was so surreal to see all these people having fun and rocking out. I wanted them to stand up and dance more but security would not let them boo. I have three more shows and they are going to bigger and better. Im sure you’ll get video of it all.
I want to say thank you for all the early buzz you have shown me about Another Christmas. It is a song i never intended releasing. It was written for my family a couple of years ago as a presant. However when i showed it to a few people recently they flipped out and said people have to hear this. I then went to my friend Nancy O’Dell and told her i wanted to donate all proceeds to charity. I asked her if i could make her main charity’s ALS and the Red Cross the recipients. It will be available Dec 9th on Itunes everywhere. My David Foster and Friends is out on DVD as Nov 11th. It is such a great concert and a great Christmas presant too haha. The Documentary i help score Dont Look Down about Shaun White is out on ESPN Jan 2nd with the DVD coming out a week later. So as you see i have been busy! I can’t thank AI and you guys for all the opportunities i have once more. All because you guys kept your votes coming in.

Gday y’all

I wanted to apologize for not writing lately. I have been so busy it’s insane. I feel like my new life involves only planes and recording studios I am so greatful to be working this hard but i am so tired.
I have had so many wonderful experiences over the last year all due to you guys. You put me here, you continue to believe in me.
As many of you know i am singing the National Anthem in Atlanta this weekend for the Pep Boys 500 Nascar. Wow what an honor to be infront of 200 000 people and millions on TV, singing what i think to be one of, if the not the best song a singer can sing. I cannot wait although i am nervous. I believe it will be live on ABC at 2pm EST. Hope i kick butt on it.

Also the album is coming along great. I am so happy with the songs and the sound we have. It’s very soulful yet still rockin and fun. I know you guys are gonna love it. I wanted to get a single out in Nov but with all the appearances and travelling i’ve been doing we’ve run a little behind. I won’t rush anything just to rush it. Besides until Jan/Feb i have the David Foster and Friends DVD coming out i have the Shaun White Don’t Look Down Documentary coming out on ESPN with a full CD of songs attached too. So there is new music for yall just not my first single just yet. Also we are in talks right now to release a Christmas song i wrote. It would be an acoustic performance of the song. Its calles Another Christmas.

I love you all for the support and again i’m working so hard to give you guys an Album that is truly timeless.
