Upcoming Appearances

Date January 4, 2010

Things have been rather quiet around here, thanks in part to the holiday season and the fact that Michael’s been doing some writing in various parts of the country. But it’s 2010, which means that he’ll be gearing up for more appearances! The first is Drive the Dream to benefit Childhelp, and also features other Idol alumni Brooke White, Scott MacIntyre and Matt Giraud. While tickets to the gala are rather expensive, donations can be made directly to Childhelp if you so wish. It’s for a great cause, so if you’re able, why not?

Up next is the Australia Day LA celebrity concert at the Fairplex in Pomona. Tickets may be purchased at their website (though at the moment it seems to be down – they’ve tweeted that they might be overloaded). Children under 16 enjoy free admission while it’s $29.95 for adults ($59.95 for VIP). Other packages are also available.

24 January 2010 – Australia Day LA

Since audiences first caught a glimpse of the six-foot-plus Perth native on season 7 of American Idol, and heard the soulful grit of his unbounded voice, Johns has seen a life’s dream come true — he’s finally made a career of music on his own name and terms. Look no further than the 12 songs that make up his CD Hold Back My Heart for proof.

I’m always excited to hear what Michael’s written! Glad that he’s found some time now from the busy year he’s had. Looking forward to Australia Day in LA!
