St. Elmo’s Fire (Man in Motion) in Heart of a Dragon

Date October 21, 2009

St. Elmo’s Fire (Man in Motion) was originally written by David Foster and John Parr to pay tribute to Canadian athlete Rick Hansen, who at that time was heading around the world on his Man in Motion World Tour to raise funds for spinal cord research. The song was later recorded by John Parr as the theme song for the movie St. Elmo’s Fire.

Heart of a Dragon is an adaptation featuring the days leading up to Rick Hansen’s attempt to climb the Great Wall of China during Man in Motion World Tour. David Foster and Michael rerecorded a version of St. Elmo’s Fire (Man in Motion) for the movie, which can be heard in the trailer below. For more information about the movie, check out this article.
