Idle Time Concert Review

Michael Johns came out next; he was a top five finalist from American Idol season 7 and was just as good as Brooke. He seemed more relaxed than Brooke and quickly made jokes and really tried to please the crowd. He made jokes, asked to have the lights turned on in order to see the fans and seemed like a really down to Earth guy with an amazing voice. He sang a lot of covers with only one or two original songs and ended with a duet with Brooke White.

The duet started out rough because it didn’t seem very rehearsed; which was actually awesome. Michael Johns started playing his guitar and one of his strings broke, so he ran back and got a stool but then his microphone wouldn’t reach, so Brooke actually started holding the mic down for him…they were laughing, singing and it was great! There is a lot of chemistry there; you can really tell that they are real friends and just enjoy being on stage.

They truly sounded amazing and I could have sat there all night long; either of them could sing any song ever written.

The show was amazing and lasted about 2 hours. The post show meet and greet was very unprofessional and really needed to be more well planned out. Everyone was basically standing in one little room and when the musicians came down, you just had to fight and push to get to them. Money of them were being pulled in several different ways so they couldn’t really talked to you; with the exception of Michael Johns; he went out of his way to talk to you; the others just sort of said “hey” and signed the autographed and moved on.
