The stars of “American Idol” are being immortalized in trading cards.
Upper Deck Entertainment is releasing a series of 138 trading cards featuring all-things “Idol,” including memorable contestants from every past season.
The cards, available April 21, will feature the top two finalists from every season and all past “Idol” winners including Jordin Sparks, Ruben Studdard and Jennifer Hudson, as well as all the “Idol” judges.
They’ll also include many past “Idol” favorites, including David Archuleta and Michael Johns–and “Idol” rejects including William Hung, who famously mangled “She Bangs” yet turned his ineptitude into 15 minutes of fame.
Among the cards’ features will be “Almost an Idol” cards capturing memorable moments in “Idol” history. This will also include “unforgettable contestant tryouts” from the current season of “Idol” (Season 8).
There will be five “Idol” cards per pack, with 24 packs in each box of trading cards.

Weird…but, I guess a pic of MJ is never a bad thing!
Actually, I didn’t get it.
ok can we (i mean us intenational fans) get those cards also?
LOL…the Moms will be the newest group of trading card addicts..all trying to get MJ cards!!! …you think we’re kidding???
Let the trading begin!!!!
I told myself I would never buy trading cards again after I turned 15… MJ only YOU could make me want to find your card. LOL. THis is diffrent, but for you I am in. Im always in.
Love you mister.
Jess
I have kids, so I can buy them without embarrassment and claim they are for them…heh heh! Little do they know…
I have kids too. I can also blame all trading card purchases on them. I did the same thing when we went to the AI concert last summer. I bought a shirt for my daughter that said “Michael is My Idol” and had her to wear it that night. The funny thing is, she is only 8 and loved David A. but…I wouldn’t wear one myself…but I had to get the message out somehow!
thats so amusing.
We never had trading cards when I was growing up. Better late than never
..LOL..
Anyway I am chuffed that he was named as one of the favourites in a NY Post article.
hmmmmm….. interesting.
