What i would have given to be there…I am so glad some of us at MJO were there to show you the love you so rightly deserve. Great job today!

    I loved all the songs, but I hope he he never goes for a “Sweet Home Alabama” vibe for his album. It doesn’t suit him and I am not expecting that.
    I want INXS type of rock to be honest.

    I really enjoyed the other two songs though. Great job.

    I heard MJ was sick today, he got food poisoning on Friday because he ate Chick-Filet. Hopefully he will eat healthier from now on.

    He also said on Atlanta interview he is trying to put out his record by February. Let’s really hope this happens because he is doing all this by himself and the clock is ticking, AI fans forget too fast.

    I still wish he gets a major label after he releases his indie album. MAybe someone will be interested after they hear his solo album and will sign him.
    He is going to need some major promo to sell records but doing this all by himself will be way tough.
    HE is in my prayers, so many past AI finalists fail to sell with independent records.
    Only in the 15,000 or 20,000 mark, which sadly is nothing.
    Hopefully Michael can manage to do something with his AI run. Sorry for being a bit negative but that’s just how it works. It’s a tough business.

    Go MJ! I hope you can make it post AI.

    Titina, he’s not doing it alone – he has people working with him – management, great producers and writers, a label and distribution team that have done well for other Idols. He’s doing all these gigs because he’s in demand. When he’s releasing his album, he’ll be on Hollywood Week on AI, mentoring. If AI fans have short memories, they’ll get their memories jogged because he’ll be there on screen. As for his song choices, he used to live in Atlanta, and he’s spent lots of time as a kid in Australia at race tracks, he’d know what to sing for that audience.

    You looked and sounded as hot as ever (even with the scruffy face)! My fave was Sweet Home Alabama. I am a big fan of Southern Rock. Keep it up. I am sure you made yourself some new fans. –PS–National Anthem was beautiful…still love your low range!!!!!

    I agree with goldhilites on the song selection. You must consider your audience when selecting a song (when selecting what you wear, when selecting what you say and how you say it, etc…). That is speech 101…who is your audience? In this case, he probably had 2 smart genres to choose from…country and southern rock…I don’t see him going country, so southern rock was the obvious choice. My least favorite was Pearl Jam…but that is just me. Just because he chose to sing southern and alternative rock today doesn’t necessarily mean that his record is headed in that direction…he said it will be soulful rock…so believe him.
    ANYWAY — YOU ROCKED THEM ALL MICHAEL!!!!!!

    I loved the Sweet Home Alabama too! I just wish that drummer had toned down the cymbal work alittle! Michael was fabulous!

    Michael was absolutely amazing on Sunday. The song choices were great for the race and it just goes to show again. Michael can sing anything including the phonebook and kill it =) Way to go Michael I am so glad I could be there to see it live !!!

Wow, I didn’t know Michael will be mentoring on AI during Hollywood week, that’ll be great for when he’s releasing his new CD ~ GO MICHAEL!!! I have no doubt that his CD will be just what his fans are hoping for and more!!
