Below is an excerpt where he talks about his upcoming album…
Q. I’ve heard there’s going to be a Michael Johns album. Tell me all about it.
A. I started working on the record right after I got booted. I have eight or nine songs recorded and I want about 30, so I’ve got a lot of work to do when I get off the road. The caliber of songwriters and producers I’m using is second to none, so I am very blessed.
Q. And you are planning to release it yourself?
A. This is my big shot and I wanted to have full control. The music-business world has changed so much. You can do distribution deals with Wal-Mart and Target. Elliott Yamin did it similar to the way I’m going to and he sold 600,000 records.
Q. So what does the album sound like, Michael?
A. It’s a good rock-soul record, bluesy songs you can dance to, work out to and just chill to. I’m really excited the way it’s coming out. It’s blowing my mind.

Hey, that’s my home town news paper! Home of the Canton Football Hall of Fame.
I wish I could attend this concert too! Some rude lady awaken our poor sleeping boy just for an autograph! Geesh!

Good interview. It is good to hear that Michael is excited about his album. He is recording 30 songs..omgoodness…We will take the left overs as well..lol.. Yep, his singing helps some of us relax while exercising, nice mellow voice. I take my mp3 with me with speakers so others will hear his music. They like it a lot.

Nice comprehensive piece. Glad to see Mike is keeping that oh so important “fire in the belly”. The passion that he has for what he is doing keeps shinning thru. It’s that way with any walk of life. He is making it thru this tour with flying colors and it’s becoming a spring board for his career due to the constant public recognition.
I’ll bet his fan base is a lot bigger than he can imagine. Really looking forward to buying MJ’s album at years end. He’s a nice guy, a genuine human being and deserves all our support.

He’s walking the red carpet for the “Australia” movie. Cool. He’ll probably meet Hugh Jackman there. They must have breathed some of the same oxygen when Hugh studied in Perth.

I can’t wait to hear it!!! I’m so happy for Michael, he sounds so excited! Thanks so much for sharing this with us ~ I needed to hear more about the upcoming CD ~ I’m not able to see MJ when the AI tour hits OH, due to lack of funds, so any and all MJ news is just what the doctor ordered ~ thanks!!!
Good luck Michael (though, I don’t think you’ll need it!!), I’ll be first in line once it’s out!!!

I just went to look up when “Australia” comes out and saw that David Wenham is also in it. DW and Hugh Jackman in another movie together? Score!! But anyway,
I can’t frickin wait for MJ’s album! It shouldn’t be too long before we are hearing the first single, should it? omg yayyyyyyy I’m so excited!!!!!!!!!
