Some Highlights…
Larry King wanted to tape an interview with the 10 Idols so CNN ended up taping it today at Gwinnett Arena. That kind of threw off the standard Q&A interview portion but I got to take some shots of them during the interview below and got to finally meet the two former Atlantans Carly Smithson and Michael Johns. The “Larry King Live” is set to air Friday.
I got a few more tidbits from Michael Johns about this upcoming post tour plans. He will be working with Andrew Farriss from INXS in October on a song. He’s also hoping to attend the Elton John celeb-am tennis match in a few months. He also expects to move back to Atlanta next year. He’s working with the same people as Elliott Yamin to get his album out. He also gave a shout out to www.michaeljohnsonline.com for being such a great fan site.

Johns said by pure coincidence, he had heard Turner Classic Movies had paid homage to Gene Kelly of “Singing in the Rain” fame that same day.

Considering he couldn’t get a full interview those were great tidbits about the album…I guess MJ’s just going to keep dribbling out the details to us. Congrats on the MJO shoutout again Allison!

wow that is a lot of great info at once lol! thanks for posting. elliott’s done pretty well so that’s good to hear. and he’s moving back to atlanta? right after he said dc was moving to L.A. so he’d see him a lot? lol that’s cool though, he must really like it, that’s awesome.

He is going to work with Andrew Farris? That’s so cool! He is an amazing songwriter He must know the INXS guys and JD too. I still wonder if Michael ever considered trying out for Rockstar INXS. He would have given JD Fortune a run for the money, that’s for sure.
Elliott’s people backing him up sounds pretty good to me. Elliott’s done pretty well so far, so let’s hope MJ’s career path is similar to Elliott or even better.

As you can see from my screen name, I am a huge INXS fan and also I’m a huge MJ fan, so reading this bit about Andrew Farriss working with him on his new CD put a huge smile on my face. He’s a great song writer and I can’t wait to hear what he and Michael can do together!

Wow, a lot of exciting new plans for Michael! Although my heart did sink a tad when I saw that he was moving back to Atlanta. I guess he and David will have to separate afterall…:( But what’s most important is what’s best for him so I hope this will be exactly what he needs!

That was a great article. Lots of interesting information. He is working with some great people, and I have no doubt that his new album is going to be amazing. It also sounds like he will have no problem with distribution, since he is working with the same people as Elliot Yamin. Also, thank you so much Michael for the shout out to MJO! You rock!

That was a really nice article. Come on Michael, you are photogenic! All of the Idols are, I think. Looks like they were all having a good day there.
Hey, that is some cool news - working w/ Andrew Farriss and Elliot Yamin’s people. INXS was/is an awesome band, and Elliot is doing quite well for himself. I hear his songs played on the radio.
Michael has gained some fans on this tour! There were people at the concerts who supported other Idols who maybe didn’t notice him as much on the show but now have had the chance to see his charm and talent in person.
